What leftover solar actually cuts on a 2026 TNB bill

Imported kWh still carry Capacity, Network, Retail, AFA, SST, and KWTBB as they apply. If the net goes negative, it is reset to zero. No cash. Unused credit is forfeited at month-end.
myTNB’s general SST rule for usage up to 31 Aug 2026: 8% if usage is >600 kWh and the billing period is ≥28 days, on the 601+ portion; if the period is <28 days, the whole consumption is taxable. For usage from 1 Sep to 31 Dec 2026, households using 800 kWh or less a month pay no service tax (TNB, 18 Sep 2026). Above 800 kWh, myTNB says the 8% applies to usage from 801 kWh up when the billing period is 28 days or more, and to all usage when it is under 28 days (myTNB tariff page, checked 25 Sep 2026). Exact KWTBB and SST tax base on a real ATAP invoice — before versus after the credit — is still UNKNOWN. EEI’s exact printed base on an ATAP month is also UNKNOWN. We have not seen an official worked invoice that settles either.
How the ATAP block is printed
TNB’s own “Understanding Your Solar ATAP Bill” (myTNB ATAP page) is the field map:
- The summary shows Caj Semasa ATAP, Baki ATAP, and Baki ATAP Tidak Dibawa Ke Hadapan.
- MAQ is printed: the maximum solar energy that can be exported to TNB in the current billing period. Official formula: kWac × 5 sun-hours × billing days. Export above MAQ is forfeited even if Caj Tenaga is still running.
- A dedicated ATAP Credit block details the credit.
- AFA is a separate block. The credit does not go there.

ToU vs General — what changes on the page
The Energy line is what changes. Capacity, Network, Retail, and AFA are not time-split for domestic.

How ATAP credit is priced on a Domestic ToU bill — one General Energy Charge, or a peak/off-peak blend — is UNKNOWN. No official ToU-ATAP worked invoice was found.

AFA on this bill
AFA is a month stamp. Do not average. Do not treat a forecast as the billed rate.

Domestic ≤800 kWh a month, 1 Sep to 31 Dec 2026: no AFA, no RM10 Retail and no service tax (TNB, 18 Sep 2026). From 1 Jul 2025 to 31 Aug 2026 the limit was 600 kWh. The 2027 limit has not been announced. When AFA is on the import, leftover solar cannot offset it.
Who this page is not for
Multi-tenant (tenant sub-meter) accounts: not eligible for ATAP. There is no leftover-solar credit to map.
Existing NEM that has not converted: you stay on the original NEM terms. Do not read this ATAP stack onto that PDF.

Untuk penggunaan 1 Sep hingga 31 Dis 2026, isi rumah yang guna 800 kWh atau kurang sebulan tidak dikenakan cukai perkhidmatan (TNB, 18 Sep 2026). Atas 800 kWh, myTNB menyatakan 8% dikenakan pada penggunaan 801 kWh ke atas jika tempoh bil 28 hari atau lebih, dan pada seluruh penggunaan jika kurang 28 hari (halaman tarif myTNB, disemak 25 Sep 2026). Tapak cukai KWTBB dan SST yang tepat pada invois ATAP sebenar — sebelum berbanding selepas kredit — masih tidak diketahui. Tapak EEI yang dicetak pada bulan ATAP juga tidak diketahui. Kami belum nampak invois rasmi yang selesaikan mana-mana satu.
Bagaimana blok ATAP dicetak
“Understanding Your Solar ATAP Bill” TNB sendiri (laman ATAP myTNB) ialah peta lapangan:
- Ringkasan tunjuk Caj Semasa ATAP, Baki ATAP, dan Baki ATAP Tidak Dibawa Ke Hadapan.
- MAQ dicetak: tenaga solar maksimum yang boleh dieksport ke TNB dalam tempoh bil semasa. Rumus rasmi: kWac × 5 jam matahari × hari bil. Eksport atas MAQ luput walaupun Caj Tenaga masih berjalan.
- Blok ATAP Credit berasingan perincikan kredit.
- AFA ialah blok berasingan. Kredit tidak pergi ke situ.

ToU vs General — apa yang berubah pada muka bil
Talian Tenaga itu yang berubah. Kapasiti, Rangkaian, Runcit, dan AFA tidak dipecah ikut masa untuk domestik.

Bagaimana kredit ATAP dihargakan pada bil Domestic ToU — satu Caj Tenaga General, atau campuran puncak/luar puncak — tidak diketahui. Tiada invois ToU-ATAP rasmi dijumpai.

Domestik ≤800 kWh sebulan, 1 Sep hingga 31 Dis 2026: tiada AFA, tiada Runcit RM10 dan tiada cukai perkhidmatan (TNB, 18 Sep 2026). Dari 1 Jul 2025 hingga 31 Ogos 2026, hadnya 600 kWh. Had untuk 2027 belum diumumkan. Bila AFA ada pada import, baki solar tidak boleh menolaknya.
